Hi Selene Friends:
If you're getting too many emails from the owner's site forums and want to reduce the
volume of emails, you have several choices:
1. You can very quickly just stop all forum emails by logging into the site, clicking the "Forums" item in the main menu and then clicking the "STOP ALL FORUM EMAILS" button. This won't un-subscribe you from the emails permanently....it just pauses the emails. The button will change to "RESUME FORUM EMAILS." This is a convenient way to stop emails temporarily if you're going to be away.
2. You can also un-subscribe to emails from specific forums. To do that, click the "Forums" menu item in the main menu. Then click the "My Forum Memberships" button near the top. Click the pencil icon on the right edge of the screen next to the specific forum you want to change the settings for. In the middle of the screen, you'll see a section titled "Message Delivery" There's a checkbox titled "Send Forum Messages to me Via Email." Uncheck the box to stop email delivery. You can still come read the messages on the website, but you won't receive email from this forum for each message.
3. Finally, you can choose to receive a "daily digest" of all postings for a day in one email delivered once a day. In that same section where the "message delivery" option is shown (see #2 above), there's a drop-down box that says: "Frequency". Options are: "Immediately" (which means deliver individual emails immediately for each posting, or "Daily Digest" (which means deliver one email each day with a summary of all the messages. There are two Digest options--one that includes full message text, or one that only includes the subject lines from each message.
So....bottom line is: don't get frustrated with getting too much email! You have lots of options for controlling the amount of email you get! We want everybody to stay engaged!
Enjoy,
