Hey Selene Friends:
I've heard that at least one of you ran into a problem we used to have on the old owner's site as well--timeout while you're composing a posting.
Unfortunately, when you are composing a posting (i.e. typing) in the Post message box on the website, there is no interaction with the webserver. There is no interaction with the webserver until you click a button (like "Post Message" or "Cancel"). I wish they had a "Save Draft" so you could periodically save a posting in progress. I'll request that feature, but don't hold your breath.
So....it's possible--especially if you're composing a fairly long posting--to spend a bunch of effort composing your message only to get a timeout message when you click "Post Message". Sadly, you may well lose all your work in that case.
What I suggest is that you be mindful of the amount of time it's taking to compose your message and either copy/paste it into a separate editor, or better yet....post your message via email. If you post via email, you can take all the time you want composing the email and send it when you're ready. You do not have to be logged into the website to send an email posting (assuming you are a member!).
Note that you MUST send the email from the email address that is in your profile, or the posting will get rejected.
So....just be aware. I'll ask Club Express about the timeout and about adding a "Save Draft" feature, but for now....beware!
