Hi great job putting all this forward. i would like to submit my name as a volunteer for the board.

For those not familiar: i have been involved with Selene since 1998, We were the world's largest Selene dealer. in 2005 i bought my Selene 48, in 2009, i retired from Selene Seattle and Friday Harbor Yachts and set out on the great adventure. We crossed the Pacific, (1 of 2 Selene's to do so) visiting 17 countries. i have settled in the Philippines, where i continue to work with the yard and foreign Selene owners/buyers with Selene Philippines. We continue to cruise the 7600 islands about have the year now. i also have published articles in the Filipino boating magazine, Sea Magazine and Passage Maker magazine.

i would consider it an honor to be on the new board.

cheers

Capt. Brian Calvert

MV Furthur,

Selene Friends:

The new Selene Owners Association has been operating with an interim board of volunteers that has been guiding us through the process of forming the association and getting the new website up and running. THANK YOU to the eight people who have served in this capacity. (You can see the current board members under "About Us" --> "Committees" on the website).

Now it's time for us to elect our first formal board. The Bylaws of the association specify that the board contain from 5 to 9 members.

We are accepting nominations/volunteers for the board now through the end of the year and will open an on-line election (through the website) once we have a slate of volunteers.

Please respond to this posting with your nominations. Feel free to nominate/volunteer yourself but obviously, don't nominate someone without asking them first!

Mark Tilden

Interim President of the Selene Owner's Association
