Non-skid deck paint
Lisa Olson

Has anyone touched up their non-skid deck? Mine is sort of sand-colored. What paint and shade?

Mark Murray
I did using Alexseal, Moon Dust. Added non-skid and flattening agent. Rolled it on with a mohair short nap roller.  Good match, but I did all the decks.

Perp requires a good scouring and cleaning.

Mark, did you sand down the old non-skid pattern?

Mark Murray

No, but I used a hard 40 grit scotch pad on a buffing wheel. Happy to talk if you like.

Hi Lisa

You can buy panels of pre-moulded non-skid from the factory.

I just used one on our boat to repair the treads on the cockpit stairs.

It was supplied via the boys at Selene Yachts Australia, and was also finished in the 'sand' color.

Perhaps Selene Americas can assist?

The process requires grinding back the existing non-skid and then epoxying in the new panel.
