Richard:

YES. I went and looked at some Seatronx monitors that my neighbor has on his Selene 53 and I specifically went with my polarized sunglasses. You can see them just fine.

One other question that I wish I would have thought about earlier...

Can you see the Seatronix display with with polarized sunglasses?

Richard:

Funny.....you're the 3rd person to ask that question. I'm replacing them with Seatronx PHT-19's. Yes, I'm running TZ/Nobeltec Pro (alongside a Furuno Navnet 3D system).

Hi Mark,
Just curious which monitors are you replacing them with, and are you running TZ Pro?

Sorry, I don't need monitors now.

Team:

I am in the process of upgrading my pilothouse monitors to touch screens. I have the two original 19" sunlight readable BigBay (model: DIB-19) monitors for sale. They both work perfectly and have nice bright displays. The one caveat is that I have experienced one of the monitors randomly going black on me. The first time this happened, I discovered it was a bad HDMI to VGA adapter. I replaced it and the monitor worked fine. Then it started happening again this fall and by that time I decided to upgrade the monitors anyway.

I bench tested both monitors on a different Intel NUC computer with both a HDMI to VGA adapter and an HDMI to DVI adapter. In both cases, I let the monitors run constantly for a week+ and never experienced even momentary black-outs. (I turned off the power saving monitor shut down for the test and ran a screen saver). My conclusion is that it was the adapter(s) and/or cables in the original setup. It's also possible that I have an intermittent HDMI port on the NUC that is on Koinonia. I'll find out soon when I run the new monitors. They have HDMI inputs, so I won't need the adapters.

The monitors have VGA, DVI, s-Video and composite video inputs. I only used the VGA and DVI inputs, but both work perfectly. They are not touch screens.

These monitors sell for about $2500 each new. I'll sell these for $800 each or $1500 for both of them. They come with the 120/240VAC power supplies and the mounting hardware.
