Author Last Post

Gorgeous!

~LC

She looks like a beautiful vessel Brad, wish you the best of luck with the sale.

Is she listed privately or are you going to employ the reach of Selene Americas to help out?

I agree with what Jack said that the Selene market right now is stronger than ever thanks to the loads and loads of work that Selene Americas are doing to bring awareness to these boats. I remember when I was looking at them 5 years ago no one that I knew had ever heard of them. Still to this day I know tons of Nordhavn owners that have never heard of Selene which is just crazy to me.

Thankfully the work and cash Selene Americas are putting in is changing that big time... leading to people like Jack being able to get top dollar as I am sure you will.

Best of luck with the sale and happy to hear that you have recovered from your surgery.

P.S. We cruised Maine this past summer and fell in love! We hope to get back that way sometime.

Brad -

ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!!

We just sold Shangri-La, 5388 a 2010 Selene 53, as we are building the new Shangri-La, OE 6047 which will be delivered Spring 2026. I say the market is strong. Our 53 sold for more than any 53 has ever sold for, low seven figures. I would be happy to talk with you and share my ideas on some sales tactics you may employ.

I can vouch for Brad and Mischief.  It is the best example of a S60 I have seen.  Impeccable.  Brad is a retired commercial captain of ocean going container ships and he incorporated the same sense of safety and discipline into his Selene.  If anyone wants a new 60 (arguably better than new), and doesn't want to wait, this is your boat.

And no, I'm not related to Brad 😉, but he did give me a free drink once.

Greetings all;

2010 6033 is now for sale.

My spine surgery went well and I’m fully recovered.

Gretchen and I returned home to FL from our

Boothbay, Maine summer home.

I’m now ready to present “Mischief” boat to

all that are interested.

This boat really is in exceptional condition and,

literally, ready to go offshore.

Most everything onboard is new or overhauled

and I’ve created an exceedingly safe vessel with

redundant systems for my wife and I to cruise

and explore while transiting to Maine and back each

summer.

Please contact me for more information and to set up

an inspection.

Thank you,

Brad

Hello all, Brad here.

Things change, life changes.

I am now mostly recovered from recent spine surgery.

At this time I am (again) not yet actively selling our 2010 6033 “Mischief” boat.

This coming winter and certainly by next spring Mischief will be sold. Mischief will be available at my home dock in SW Florida.

The planning and execution of changes, upgrades and updates to Mischief and her systems for the long term really are exceptional.

I look forward to presenting her to all interested parties this fall/winter.

Thank you all very much.

Best regards, Brad

Hello all.

I apologize for not being able to get back to many of you with Mischief updates and information in a timely manner.

I am and have been incapacitated, bedridden with medical problems for a little while. The good thing is I’ve returned home after going to the hospital.

I am now planning on soon being able to physically present Mischief boat to everyone interested.

For all that want specifications, information and price please reach out to me via text and/or email.

I purchased 2010 6033 in June 2020. I chose this Howard Chen design for many reasons.

I also have a clue. I careful considered the many upgrades, the updating of systems, the changes & modifications and the preventative maintenance I’ve carried out for over a year before my wife and I took Mischief from FL to ME and back the first time. Most every system was touched.

As a professional Merchant Mariner (ship Master) for 45 years, a former marina and boat dealership owner and sailboat racer my priorities regarding Mischief started with safety and reliability.

I had planned to own Mischief for 10 years. Hurricane Ian changed many lives. With the addition of my health issues I have now decided I should sell my pride and joy.

I am always learning and have learned an amazing amount through our Selene family and by investigating many boats.

I will be pleased to show Mischief to all interested parties. I will enjoy showing and explaining my reasoning with what I have accomplished that makes this motor yacht what she is - one of the safest, nicest and most updated Selenes.

Thank you,

Regards,

Capt Brad Collins

Brad, Beautiful boat. What is the asking price?  Allen

Brad,
I am very sorry to hear you're selling Mischief.  It is the nicest, most beautiful Selene I've seen.  I was just telling another Selene Owner's about Mischief 2 days ago.  The new owning will be getting a great boat.  I remember first seeing her in Castine, ME.  You hurried out to see Kelly and I on Untethered, anchored out.  And you hosted us the day of the horrendous hurricane in Ft. Myers Beach.  I was impressed with the way you handled things.

We intend to go to Maine this summer and Boothbay Harbor is one of our favorites.  We'll send you a message and hopefully we can get together.

Best wishes to you and your wife, and selling Mischief.

Greetings Selene owners and aficionados. Capt. Brad Collins here. It is soon time to sell my second Selene - "Mischief", 2010 6033.

I am a professional Merchant Mariner and have been a ship’s Master (Captain) for most of my 45 year career. I am also a former marina owner and Chris Craft, Sea Way, Evinrude, and Cox trailer dealer. I have raced sailboats for decades. This is my second Selene. It is absolutely true and well known, Howard Chen’s 59/60’s design is easily the best design of ANY 65’ trawler or semi-displacement MY.

I have owned Mischief for 5 years and have extensively maintained, updated and upgraded every system but one on this boat. Safety comes first with everything I do and this yacht is setup as one of the most reliable & safest boats afloat. My wife & I travel to/from ME/FL each summer. With owning more than one home and Mischief - it is time to be retired and slow down with possibly another smaller Selene or some other vessel.

*Notable features with a S60 & Mischief's configuration & systems:

Mischief is powered by a John Deere 6125AFM75 with 2594 hrs. At 8/8.5 kts the JD delivers 1 gallon per NM.

A glass bridge (pilothouse & flybridge) including 5 Garmin 17” displays.

EXTENSIVE electronics with ALL, including the music system, having been replaced in 2021.

Stand-up walk-in engine room and lazarette. The access to ALL the equipment on 59/60 Selenes is absolutely exceptional!

All 6 liquid tanks are fiberglass!!!

New Sunbrella cushions.

Standup electrical circuit breaker panel. EXTENSIVE electrical upgrades INCLUDING 3 ELCI's an ANG boosting isolation transformer connected to the Glendinning Cable Master (with 75'

shore power cable), galvanic isolators, Victron inverter/charger, 2 other new battery chargers (total 5 battery chargers O/B not including the engine alternator), & back-up systems.

Hydraulics include B & S thrusters, stabilizers & an emergency get-home drive.

Five (5!) fixed firefighting systems. [Upgraded from the one fixed engine room flooding system.]

10 handheld fire extinguishers onboard. Fire blankets. 32 smoke (ion or photo) & CO alarms installed.

Mischief's ground tackle system is absolutely the best that can be configured including a new 176 lb SS Ultra anchor, 2 new 400’ ½” G4 high test ACCO anchor chains, the secondary anchor is a 139 lb galvanized plow.

Recent, 8 person USCG/SOLAS commercial ocean life raft just recertified for the first time.

Steel Head davit, "SM 500R" with wireless remote.

2017 Novurania "Deluxe 360" RHIB w/40 HP Yamaha, 55 hours.

Side deck doors, SS ladder up to the flybridge hardtop. Teak swim platform & side decks.

Modern 'Euro stern' including the raised cockpit table and settee. Beautiful dark blue topsides.

3 staterooms, 2 heads with Tecma toilets, large showers! The bunk room has been modified to COMFORTABLY accommodate 2 adults including a new custom mattress.

There is so much more to this motor yacht. Mischief really is exceptional. As her caretaker I've absolutely put my heart, soul and fairly extensive experience and knowledge into this yacht.
