62 fuel economy
Author Last Post

Thanks for the detailed information. This is much more in line what I was thinking it should be. What a trip you did and great job detailing it.

As far as I remember the numbers in the Excel sheet is per engine, but Iwill check tomorrow

The values on last slide are for both engines as actually measured during the journey

Herald... may be a dumb question... on the excel spreadsheet is that fuel usage per engine or for the 2 combined

Thanks

Hi John, we have monitored fuel economy of our Selene 66 Mazu throughout the last 3 years. We have a twin Cummins QSL9 configuration. I attach the Excel Sheet about consumption that we received during the purchase process 2020/2021 and slides I presented during the West Coast Selene Owners Rendezvous End April 2025 about our journey from L'Escala Spain to Triest Italy. This is the fastest way to deliver some of the data you are looking for. If required I can go through the log data to provide more. It is all in metric l/h and Liters / nautical mile however. Hope it helps anyway, Regards, Harald

Hello all,

I have a 56 Selene with a single Cummins QSL9 410 HP at 7.5 KTS my burn rate is 4 - 4.5 gallons per hour. I'm looking at a Selene 62' with two of the same engines but they are telling me the burn rate goes to 17 gallons per hour at 9 knots.

Does anyone have any fuel consumption for this twin configuration at 7.5 -8 knots ?

Thanks,

John
