After 19 years from new, ARDREEN 6207 is going on the market this fall, and will be on display at the Boats Afloat Show in Seattle in September.
This is a hard decision, but it’s time, and a new owner will be getting a Selene that has been cared for, in part, by two of the Selene Community’s most knowledgeable people, Brian Taylor and Geoff Mills. We have had great use of the boat for 3-4 months a year, although we have not ventured as far as many owners. However, one plus for a new owner is that the main engine has only 1200 hours, virtually unused for a QSM 11. The boat is nearly pristine, and well maintained throughout.
Our journey started when we bought a boat that Howard had built for Dan Fogle, a partner in one of the first and most successful Selene dealerships, Friday Harbor Yachts. Dan had some health issues, and decided to put his brand new, uncommisioned, 62 in the Poulsbo TrawlerFest and we just happened to be there. We were looking for a boat that would be comfortable to live on for months at a time, and it has proved to be the perfect choice. Easy for two to handle, and very spacious.
That started a fruitful 19 year association with Selene Yachts and Howard, from taking over the bankrupt yard doing the commissioning, to Selene Yacht Service to the Selene Dealer for the Pacific NW. It is one thing to sell a yacht, another to actually live your product, and that’s been easy, because Howard’s yachts are simply the best in class.
