Upholstery recommendations
Author Last Post
A few years ago we redid all the upholstery, 2 barrel chairs, salon settee, PH bench with faux leather and he rebuilt our custom mattress with new memory foam, all for under $1k usd, by what is considered one of the most expensive shops in the area,,, life in the Philippines! It all held up perfectly,, until Selene the cat came to live with us hahahaha

I can likely refer you to the best upholstery lady on the planet who does leather, pleather, canvas, fabric,Textaline, Sunbrella, etc., and  who also performs perfect work cutting down a Sealy Posturepedic pillow top mattress to fit the space on a Selene and make your primary (previously master, but no longer politically correct) stateroom mattress a thing of beauty and deep sleep a reality, but you will need to travel a tad to the southeast.  How does Trinidad work for you?  A good excuse for a cruise exists.

The material I used was:
Pegasus [ PEG- 1613 ] Brilliant White.  (Leather texture)      It comes up via a Google search

It's not bright white, more like a pearl color.

This is very timely for me.  I'm considering reupholstering my salon and pilot house too.  I'm pretty sure I want to go with an off white, but could use recommendations on fabric.

Bill,  I had the work done in La Paz (Baja) by an upholstery shop I used previously.  He copied a design from a Cobalt boat I have.  He used the old cushions as they were in good condition.  It took a lot of skill to lay out the pattern correctly.   2 helm chairs, flybridge settee and bow settee $5500. Off White Vinyl was American made.  Huge improvement over old cushions.

A good upholstery shop should be able to replicate.

Those do look great. What is the fabric and who did it?

John-

That looks great!

Do you have a referral?

I've attached a photo of what I did on 5359.  The seats were covered in an ugly Marine fabric. I did the same on bow seating.

Hi all,

We are planning to have all of the salon and pilot house upholstery recovered on our 53’.

We’re looking for recommendations in Oregon or southwest Washington. We spoke with canvas supply in Seattle however they prefer to template rather than just recover and the boat is in Oregon for the winter. were looking for alternatives that do quality work closer to us or a shop that will travel.

Thanks
