Yes.....we know the former owners of Rendezvous!

How fun that you met them! Feel free to reach out if you have any questions about cruising in the PNW or the trip through the canal and up the coast.

Now that, my friend, is a beautiful and artistically crafted post. A gem created by a fellow writer who knows how to choose a word. A thing of beauty and simplicity, messaging the sublime, the beautiful, the melancholy, and the impending finality we shall all certainly face. There will come a time when each of us will either disembark or choose to end our cruise on board.

And then there is Olive, the geologist dog! Who would have thunk it?

We anchored in the little town of Tenants Harbor, ME and took the dinghy to the town dinghy dock. We met a nice guy, Jack and his dog Olive, an 18 month old brown lab. He was a 66 year old guy living alone with Olive, a geologist that travels the world looking for water. We exchanged stories and mentioned we want to take our boat through the Panama Canal to the West Coast. He pointed to a house and said, "the people that live in that house cruised in the Pacific Northwest on a Saloon, Seleen...". I said, "Selene?" "Yes!, a Selene".

So Kelly and I hiked over to the house and met the couple. I won't say their name because I didn't clear it with them, but their boat's name was "Rendezvous", a Selene 55. I'm sure those in the PNW know who I'm talking about. They were very helpful answering our many questions about cruising in the PNW.

I just want you to know that they purchased a very nice house in Tenants Harbor, ME and seem very content.
