First Full Moon of 2026 - The Wolf Supermoon

Working (if you can call it that) on designing some fancy bar cabinetry for 6047 Shangri-La and hoping for an on time June delivery to the PNW, I looked up from my table and was greeted by the first full moon of 2026, The Wolf Supermoon is so big and beautiful over our dock right now. Enjoy the photo.

And I just talked with John Zimmerman who is anchored out on board his beautiful Selene 53 in Baja, Mexico in the placid Sea of Cortez, where the air is 78 degrees, the water is 76 degrees, the breeze is blowing, the water is clear, and the beer is cold.

What a wonderful world!

Here's the moon on my side of the continent:  Isla San Francisco

Out our pilothouse window we have big view of the Washington monument. Through 5 January, each night from 7-10p they are using the monument as a projection screen for a show as part of the Freedom 250 celebration kickoff.

Not a full moon but super cool and rare view

Fair and warm winds and following seas to you folks on your passage. Enjoy that full big bright moon. Perfect for an overnight or two.
