SMOG (Selene Motorcycle Owners Gang)

Brothers -

Chinese New Year is over; the workers at the shipyard are building boats again; and Howard and Arina Chen have conspired with us to finish the design for our Colors. The final design (see attached) omits the wings on the biker as they complicate the image such that embroidering patches with that detail would be difficult (this advice and modification comes from on high so I did not protest too much). Terry and I travel to China and the shipyard Monday and I have requested that progress be made on having 12” and 4” patches for our jackets embroidered so that they are available for me to bring home when we return. That may be asking too much as time is short, but we will see. We will get this done.

Anyway, see the attached image just shared with me at 2:30 AM today, February 26, 2026. Please let me know what you think.

I am back to work. Howard does not have embroidery capabilities and is stretched thin with the yard after the CNY as is Arina. So, I am researching folks to do shirts, hats and patches. I found a local shop today while running errands and they do great quality shirts, hats with leather logos, etc., but not patches. They are going to give us a proposal for shirts and hats and gave me some suggestions for having the patches completed. The good news is - the golden wings will be back I bet!

My Brothers -

We have our colors and we have our wings. See attached photo. I have a vendor lined up near our home on the NN of VA to do shirts, caps, bags, etc., with our logo and another couple of contenders lined up to do patches in 12” and 4” versions for our vests, caps, bags, etc. Start thinking about what you want to order.

Day three at the Selene shipyard starts in a few hours. Been very busy and made us crazy and made us smile a lot the last two days. I made Howard a little crazy too and he walked away from me more than twice shaking his head and muttering.

Saturday to Hong Kong for a few days. Then to Seoul, SK where daughter Sarah flies in to join us for five days to tour that region. Then back to the USA and Chesapeake Bay region. Hope you folks have spring lined up for us.
