Despite the challenging weather pounding the Chesapeake Bay region, the First Memorial Day Weekend SMOG Thunder Ride could not be stopped. The cruise took place Friday, with Easy Ridin’ Jack and Captain America Roger aboard SMOG 1 and SMOG 2 cruising the wheat field bordered roads, twisting along vineyard view country lanes and passing through small towns of the Northern Neck of virginia along the Potomac and Yeocomico Rivers. The chilly air, 34 degrees cooler than two days before, was refreshing and prepared us to enjoy a toasty Rye Whiskey on rocks in crystal glasses by the fireplace when we returned home.
