Gosh, this special season just warms my heart! Halloween is a big deal here in Discovery Bay, Hong Kong. Tonight is Halloween Eve and of course I can’t sleep. Who could? Never could sleep through the night on Halloween or Christmas Eve (or many others).
Did my Halloween shopping today at the hardware store in Discovery Bay Plaza - Found a great blowtorch and a couple of nice Japanese multi-purpose saws. Holding my breath just waiting for the Trick or Treaters to come down the docks here at Lantau Yacht Club in less than 12 hours. Imagine those little ghouls, all bringing those goodie bags to shangri-La, as if on a pilgrimage. I can’t wait for my chance to see what cool booty they bring; all those bags, full of chocolates and maybe some cool treats, just to share.
See the photo of what they have waiting for them. I am dressing to impress. Actually, the club is entirely private and the celebratory fun is up the road. No public or kids will be on the docks. We may try to go and enjoy the festivities in the afternoon if we have the energy after boat chores. The community here is awesome and there will be lots of good fun I am sure - they even have a costumed skate on the local ice rink - should be quite a show!

(Guess I should add to avoid local issues - Tongue firmly planted in cheek. Just joking entirely and love all kids everywhere. LOL :-))
